One of the most common quality problems with threaded products is a lack of a basic understand-ing of Ôscrew threads. This seminar is specifically designed to give a basic understanding of screw threads and ways to inspect them.
Below are some of the questions that will be covered in the seminar:
- Why is Functional size and Actual size different?
- Is a thread still okay if my NoGo gage goes?
- Is 1/4"-20 UNF-20 a good thread description?
- What gages do I need for my threaded part?
- How are Inch and Metric threads different?
- What is an L2 or L3 gage used to check?
- Is Pitch and Lead the same thing?
- How do I use the 6-step gage?
- What is a Multi-Lead thread?
- What are Pipe gages?
For four hours, you will be presented with easy to understand technical information us-ing a dynamic PowerPoint presentation given by a thread professional. Questions are al-lowed throughout the presentation.
After this seminar, you will be able to confi-dently answer all the above questions. You will have a general working knowledge of threads and thread gaging.
GSG conducts seminars on other gaging sub-jects besides threads. Also, seminars can be scheduled and tailored to your company's needs. Check our web site at www.gsgage.com for the seminar schedule and availability.
